About Jennifer

Jennifer Harcarik is an educator and advocate who has spent more than fifteen years helping first-generation and underserved students access higher education, scholarships, and opportunity. She also serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) with Voices for Children and sits on the advisory board of Hospice of the Valleys. She is a graduate of San Diego State University, and Mismothered is her debut memoir. When she is not writing, Jennifer draws on her background as an educator, advocate, and lifelong learner to connect with others on their journeys of wellness and self-discovery. She especially loves spending time with her two adult children and their spouses, and her infant grandson, whose arrival has brought her family immeasurable joy. She lives in Temecula, California, with her husband and two beloved dogs, Ellie and Phoebe.
